1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ConsoleSentinel ("the Service"), operated by Melhousen Solutions ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ConsoleSentinel is an autonomous web correctness engine that scans websites for console errors, performance regressions, SEO gaps, accessibility violations, and security exposures. The Service operates in read-only mode — it does not modify, alter, or write data to any scanned website.

3. Accounts and Registration

• You must provide accurate, complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be 18 years or older to create an account
• One person may not maintain more than one free account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Scan websites you do not own or have explicit authorization to scan
• Use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks or load testing
• Attempt to scan government, military, or critical infrastructure systems without authorization
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to collect personal data without lawful basis
• Share API keys or account credentials with unauthorized parties
• Circumvent rate limits, scan quotas, or abuse detection systems
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Domain Verification

ConsoleSentinel requires domain verification before scanning. You must prove ownership or authorization for any domain scanned. Scanning unverified domains is a violation of these terms.

6. Service Tiers and Billing

• Free tier: Limited scans per month, no payment required
• Paid tiers (Pro, Team, Enterprise): Billed monthly or annually
• Charges are non-refundable except where required by law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

7. Data Handling

• Scan results are stored in your tenant's isolated database
• We do not share scan data with third parties

• You may request deletion of your data at any time

8. Intellectual Property

• ConsoleSentinel is licensed under the MIT License for the open-source engine
• The Service (hosted platform) and its documentation are copyrighted by Melhousen Solutions
• "ConsoleSentinel" and "Web Correctness" are trademarks of Melhousen Solutions

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Scan results will be complete or accurate in all cases
• The Service will detect all possible issues on scanned websites

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MELHOUSEN SOLUTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

11. Termination

• You may close your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, your scan data will be retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
